About Ranger Doug and Too Slim:
The Senior Partners consist of Fred “Too Slim” LaBour and Douglas “Ranger Doug” Green, who co-founded two time Grammy winners Riders In The Sky almost a half century ago. Their mission was to entertain with humor while preserving the classic sound of western music. It was important to them that a part of that preservation included creating new western music in the tradition, so songwriting has been an essential aspect of their journey. Their songs have been featured on dozens of albums and won several Wrangler awards from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center. In addition, they have had compositions recorded by other artists including Tammy Wynette, Michael Martin Murphey, Karla Bluhm, Don Rickels, Micki Fuhrman, The Time Jumpers, and William Shatner.
